“Yoga does not remove us from the reality or responsibilities of everyday life but rather places our feet firmly and resolutely in the practical ground of experience. We don’t transcend our lives; we return to the life we left behind in the hopes of something better.”
~ Donna Farhi
Beautiful and Unspoiled!
Huatulco is the ideal spot for your yoga teacher training. Considered the secret gem of coastal Mexico, this small resort area offers pristine beaches, incredible views and diverse activities to enhance your yoga teacher training.
Since there are nine different bays in Huatulco, the area offers a variety of beach experiences. Most have blue-green water and the sand ranges from golden to white. Some of the beaches, notably Santa Cruz, la Entrega and El Arrocito have very gentle waves. Most of the development is centered around a few of the bays. Tangolunda is the largest of Huatulco's bays, and is where most of Huatulco's large resorts are located. Santa Cruz has a cruise ship port, marina and shops and restaurants. Some of the beaches are completely pristine and only accessible by boat.
A Green Choice!
Huatulco's development is proceeding under a plan to protect the surrounding environment. Some of the efforts made to make Huatulco a sustainable destination include reducing emissions of greenhouse gases, reducing waste, improving energy efficiency and management of natural resources. A large part of the area of the Huatulco Bays is set aside as ecological reserves, and will remain free from development. In 2005, Huatulco was awarded the Green Globe International Certification as a sustainable tourist area, and in 2010 Huatulco received EarthCheck Gold Certification; it is the only destination in the Americas to achieve this distinction.
The Yoga Teacher Training is held at elegant oceanfront villas with full amenities.
